Frequently Asked Questions for Hybrid Executive Programs
- Can an international student participate in immediate Curricular Practical Training (CPT) for the Hybrid Executive program?
- Yes. Each semester, Curricular Practical Training is intertwined throughout the program to help students reinforce learning objectives from the semester’s course as part of the program.
- Am I required to be employed full-time when I start the program?
- Students are required to be employed full-time for them to qualify for day 1 CPT.
- What are the application deadlines?
- You should apply at least 60 days prior to the class start date.
- What documents do I need to apply for the Hybrid Executive program?

- What will happen if I fail to attend the semester’s weekend residency? Can I attend virtually?
- Attending all weekend residencies in-person are mandatory to maintain your F1 immigration status for the program. Students must attend each residency session in person to meet the requirement. Missing a single residency session during the cohort will result in dismissal from the program.
- What is the minimum credit requirement per semester?
- The Hybrid Executive program is a cohort program that consists of 6 credit hours (2 graduate courses) per semester which is the minimum required credits required to be considered full-time plus 1 credit hour of CPT for each semester. Total of 7 credit hours per semester.
- How long will it take to complete the program? Can I complete it faster?
- The hybrid cohort is offered in 5 semesters (sixteen weeks). So, the program completion time is 2.5 years. Since it is a cohort program, you cannot complete the program any earlier. Students can switch to an on-campus graduate program if they cannot complete their cohort.
- How often can I take semester breaks in this program?
- Cohorts meet every fall and spring. Summer classes are not offered, so you can take a break between June-August.
- Is there a minimum grade requirement?
- All graduate students are required to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher to be able to graduate.
