About
Indiana Tech’s Executive Degree program meets the needs of working professionals and business executives wanting to pursue a graduate degree in a hybrid format. In this hybrid format, online coursework is blended with mandatory weekend residencies (at our main campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana) once a semester throughout the two-and-a-half-year cohort program.
Day 1 CPT is offered to eligible F1 students.
How the Program Works
The program is delivered in the span of five semesters (16 weeks). Each semester is comprised of two eight-week courses. Each semester, students will take one course solely online and the second in a hybrid format, which blends seven weeks of online instruction with a mandatory weekend residency. Each semester, one credit hour of Curricular Practical Training is intertwined with learning objectives from that semester’s courses.
We use a cohort approach to maximize opportunities for team-based projects and the exchange of professional work experiences. Students gain from discussions about workplace trends, challenges and best practices with others who have similar professional experiences.
Weekend Residencies
Weekend residency sessions are mandatory, and students must attend each residency session in its entirety to receive credit. If a student misses any part of a residency session, they will be counted absent for the entire session—no exception. Missing a single residency session during the cohort will result in dismissal from the program as it will impact their F1 Immigration status.
Residencies will be held one weekend each semester—Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.—at our main campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dates for the Residencies will be scheduled when students enroll for the program, and it is the students’ responsibility to make sure they can attend all the residency sessions for the whole program when they enroll for the program.
